E46 Fan Shroud removal (with Automatic Transmission)

NOTE: You Must have already removed the Airbox "Snorkel" before hand... -

You can view that DIY here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDsGAYwNb7M

ALSO:
To Completely Remove the Fan Shroud, you will have to release the Radiator Fan from the Water Pump.

That DIY is here:
BMW Radiator Fan / Clutch Removal
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuKguZBW_MA

(Make sure your car is cool down enough BEFORE working on or near the cooling system.)

Please Note - Do this at your own risk. Follow all Safety Procedures. Wear Eye Protection! Wear mechanics gloves if possible. Not responsible if you break anything (Yourself or Property) End Legal Mumbo Jumbo Disclaimer.

This DIY was performed on a 02 BMW E46 330i automatic, alpine white paint, with Sport Suspension Package, you know the drill. So if that is not your vehicle, there might be differences.

  • Sorry but bullshit! Shroud does not slide out! It gets stuck cuz of the fan!

  • @tallica4us

Really.. Did you Read the description regarding the fan?

  • All of your video's have helped me replace my water pump on my 325i. Thanks for all the hard work. Made my life easier!

  • @1776Filmz

Solid ! Great to hear that my videos assisted on your repairs. Note: Just make sure you Bleed your coolant system afterwards. Keep an eye on the temperature gauge for the next day or so, in case there's still some trapped air pockets in the system. Don't forget to Subscribe & I appreciate your comments.

  • @bimmersgarage, I noticed you have green antifreeze, I just replaced the thermostat on my e46 and had to mix green with the beamer blue. I want to swap it all out, should I flush or just drain and add?

  • @ucfsub

Whenever you do a coolant change, you should go ahead and flush the entire system then refill with the appropriate mixture.
