@portasbenfica - you're right about how cliquey it all was. I saw Huggy Bear lots and love them to this day but there was a real prissyness about it all

I was at the all nighter at the Scala, lots of bands featuring members of Huggy Bear played that night, but not Huggy Bear themselves. I'm guessing this gig is the one at The Richmond in Brighton? I didn't go, it was a cliquey scene and I didn't fancy the organised coach ride down there from London. Great band though, I saw them many times and got to speak to know them well. I think they were the last truly revolutionary band Britain produced, but I'd be happy to be proved otherwise.

I loved Huggy Bear, I saw them so often at the Camden Falcon that even Gary ( i think )from Wijja records sad I was a sad fan ! I really enjoyed best the all nighter at the Scala in Kings Cross.

wow i never knew how they looked like. so random to see them here on youtube; never expected it... totally brought me back to my college days (10 years ago, lol). what raw energy. what rock n roll.
