  • This performance is always introduced as from X-mass '67, but is it? Let's Spend is from Januari '67. In dec. '67 the Stones released Their Satanic. It is more likely to be from jan. '67 and because of snow outside and people still having their X-mass trees in the house staying in the X-mass, new-year eufory it is said to be from X-mass '67, but it's not correct in fact it is recorded on 25th of Januari 1967.

  • The whole TOTP episode is from December 1967

  • You couldn't turn on the radio without hearing something that blew your mind. I think that between 1966 and 1972 it was just one excelent song (or band) after another) And the best part was that you could love a BeeGee's song just as much as a Rolling Stones song or a Troggs song or a Tom Jones song. The kids today are much more confined to a certain style and whatever is not within that style is the enemy!!!

  • It's good to hear these great songs again and watch TOPS again. Brian Jones, Bill Wyman... What an era the Sixties was!

  • @choobvurz . . . not though for Abba, Elton John, Queen etc etc.

  • @buthabuthe HE said, "Happy Boxing Day!" in the intro, right?

  • @Anglesey

Nearly right. 1973 was also a cracking year but then it all started going down hill fast.

  • What is the theme that plays the Rolling in this video?

  • it's history of the music!

  • The show aired on Boxing day 1967, they even mention that Magical Mystery Tour is on later that night. Since it is the end of the year they are showing old clips for a 1967 overview...

  • Brian looks beautiful as usual....

  • Keith's leg under the piano at 2.00 :-)

  • Mick's live vocal to the record's backing track (as was customary to do) surpasses the recorded version which is no mean feat in itself.

  • According to Keith, Brian was sacked (even as early as this tensions were rising) but they allowed him to break it as he pleased, I don't know what the papers said at the time (I was 2)but he may well have said in public that he'd left.
