H.323 is another VoIP protocols and Grandstream is SIP only. Therefore unless you have Server acts as middle-man to translate, GXV3140 will NOT work with H.323, it is SIP ONLY.
Yes, as long as the Server/Proxy (Asterisk in this case) support SIP protocol and support H.264 video codec. You can move what you prefered to the 1st a/c. Also if no a/c configured and both phones in same LAN/VPN, you should be able to do "Direct IP Call" (peer to peer) w/o any server involved, very good if you have phones in same LAN but different room. :-)

Just confirming, can someone make a video call WITHOUT an IPvideotalk account? ie, through an Asterisk server that is setup for H323 and SIP video?
