  • AMATEUR WRITING is word reliant. It is either the stuff of real people talking into their low-end cameras about their private pleasure or pain, or regular people demonstrating their exceptional or laughable skills. It can be popular if it seems sincere, or if a spectacle of humiliation or extreme talent is at its core.

  • "It can be popular if it seems sincere, or if a spectacle of humiliation or extreme talent is at its core. I agree only to the latter part. To me, sincerity does not offer the amount of entertainment people are seeking for on Youtube. Being sincere means being one's true self, and not adding extra entertaining elements into their video blogging-they are who they are. Unfortunately, most Youtube users dont like this plain form of video narration. They want dramatic visuals and audios.

  • contd...As a result, I question the identities of all those Youtube gurus. I wonder who they really are in real life. Do they carry themselves the same way they do while they are on Youtube? These gurus are affecting the lives of millions of Youtube users in terms of what they say, and what they do. Its thus scary to imagine that people are worshipping these gurus who have nothing but made-up identities.

  • As I was watching videos, I noticed myself mentally checking out because the videos were not "loud enough". They seemed a bit dry and long even though three minutes is not long at all. This video really caught my attention. Many video bloggers incorporate cheesy or flashy entertainment in their material so that their audience can stay engaged, which is the reason why I kept watching this video.

  • As depressing as it is that in our current "ADD" society, we need to incorporate entertainment elements into the video blogging that we do in order for anyone to pay attention, sadly enough, I decided to write about this video because I liked the guys costumes/accents/dance moves... needless to say it was only a minute long.

  • I really like how you pointed out the progression of a youtuber, I can tell you have gotten more advanced with your videos, through this video itself as well as your older videos compared to each other.

  • cool man~ wuts it for? a youtube contest?
