Well if you would have gone to the conference, you might even have learned something.  I went this year, and everything that was stated made me realize how true it really is. Evangelistic teachings tell us Christian men that we need to be "Mr. Nice Guy" 24/7. However in the scripture it says we are to be "Cunning as serpents, and innocent as doves." Evangelical teachings have transformed men into innocent doves, without the cunning.

i hear what you're saying about women, but it's also true that there are some extremely talented women out there in male-dominated professions who struggle to get promoted past a certain point. it's called the glass ceiling, and it's still there today in professions such as engineering. i don't really enjoy saying anything about women and men in general, because there truly is no "general" when it comes to people, just individuality. if we try to generalize, we miss a lot.

@PurpleShades1 The Bible says, "the wages of sin is death." "Wages" means "what you get back as a result of". You get money as a result of working your job, that's your wages. Sin gives back death. That is what we are fighting against. Don't you think that is worth a whole-hearted and glorious battle? Soldiers who hesitate in the middle of a fire fight most often die. Fighting against sin in our society most often doesn't lead to violence, don't get me wrong, but we are out to save lives.
