Transitions

This video demonstrates the effective use of music and movement for transition times. In this particular situation, the children have just come inside and are washing hands. One teacher is singing and dancing with the children who have already washed their hands; the other is at the sink supervising the children with handwashing. All of the children are engaged and busy, which helps prevent any potential behavior problems.
