Slim was awesome. If he were alive today, he might be better than John. It would certainly be close in talent if he would have been given the chance to mature his playing to a more advanced point. The only member who never needed to get better in this band is Flea, if Hillel would have got better, he'd be one of the top 100 gutarists ever.

Hillel was amazing but I wouldn't say he was better than john, They are as good as eachother, depending on what type of guitar styles your into. I used to love the Chili's newer stuff but I've been listening to they're old stuff more, awesome.
