Correct me if I'm wrong, but it has to do with the fact that light characters tend to slip away from the turn during their initial slide. So in essence you'd want to start a right facing mini turbo, and turn right (not left, right even further). You'll "slip away" from the "right facing" turn and end up on the left part of the track. Once completed, do a left facing mini turbo (you can't charge this one, turn left sharply the whole time) and align with the jump.

at the start you drifted to the right but yoshi moved all of the way to the left of the track. how did you do that ? every time i drift right yoshi moves right even with the joystick pointed to the left. any help would much appreciated.
