Technically, I did NOT go Black Friday Shopping. But when I went home to visit the family, my aunt announced at about 2:00 PM on Friday that she wanted to go to Walmart! No way, I thought. Then I realized that it was late in the day and we were going to a small rural town's Walmart. I decided to ride with her.

There were 4 of us: my aunt, my cousin, my husband and me. We piled into my aunt's SUV and headed to Walmart. Once inside Walmart, I saw people I haven't seen in YEARS. It was like Facebook had come to life!

My aunt also decided to get a new TV. My husband and I took the TV out to the truck while my aunt and cousin shopped. It was after the TV had been purchased and at the truck that we realized that we'd have to let the back seats down to get the TV in! The 4 passenger SUV had just been converted to a 2 seat station wagon!

I told them that I wanted to call my mom or uncle to come pick up my husband and me but they said we could just go. Someone had the grand idea that my cousin and I would ride shotgun on the front and my husband would "lay down" beside the TV. No way. My mom was too sleepy to even talk on the phone so I knew she could not drive to get us. My uncle didn't answer his phone and another aunt was working late. Dang it! I had lost all my phone contacts earlier in the week trying to restore my iPhone. I went with the foolishness.

We were one county away from home and my aunt felt that we'd be safe once we got into our home county because that was her boyfriend's area and we'd be safe! Ha!

We got into our home county alright but ran into a road block! OMG. My knees were knockin'! The police was checking for driver's licenses. There we were: my aunt driving her car with me and my cousin riding shotgun on the front and my husband on the back laying/sitting next to a TV and neither one had any visible means of support or seat belts!

The officer even shined his flashlight on the foolishness going on in the back of the vehicle!

He looked at my aunt's license and told her to have a nice night! OMG!

I wanted to get out the truck and jog the rest of the way but my knees were still knocking!

Thank goodness he was technically checking for driver's licenses and not seat belts!

While in Walmart, I did purchase 2 new hair products: "Palmer's Olive Oil Formula with Vitamin E Replenishing Conditioner with Extra Virgin Olive Oil for Soft, Silky Hair" and "Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula With Vitamin E Deep Conditioning Protein Pack - Restores and Replenishes Dry, Damaged Hair".

I love the Replenishing Conditioner. I first heard about it from another natural while one Jury Duty. It has amazing slip! It's a bit too perfume-y for me and usually, I can tolerate highly fragrant products. But this one is highly scented. But I can deal with it because the slip is OUTSTANDING! I have not tried the protein pack yet.

  • @blueottlisa We shall see who is the biggest PJ.

  • lol at your aunt saying you can make it, she will just lay down next to the TV. :) gosh, i would've been so nervous too! glad you got off scot-free!

  • @louloumatou LOL. My aunt was driving and it was my HUSBAND who decided to ride shotgun with the TV! I tried not to point the finger of guilt at him in my video but he was the instigator of it all! I thought we were in the twilight zone because everyone in the car thinks rationally. I think they got caught up in Black Friday after all. I am glad we scooted by this time too!

  • LOL! Girl that was too funny... I bet your husband was shaking in his boots while the flash light was panning across the TV!

  • @MsRosieVelt That joker wasn't scared. He was the master mind behind riding shotgun!

  • @thecreativelady Lol. That's right girl I have my Pepper Spray canister and it's all pink, lol. Just kidding.

  • @sophisticatedtw Close call is right! Funny you should say that I should write comics because my life IS pretty hilarious!

  • @blueottlisa I'm just grateful the cop knew that we were just a bunch of shoppers who accidentally stimulated the economy on Black Friday and bought too much to fit in our car!

  • @EvelynParham You know I'm a country girl and like bologna but I am not prepared for jailhouse lunches!

I thought I would have trouble purging with my PJ purchases but I didn't. I flinched when I thought about the money I've wasted on full size jars of junk but lesson learned! Purging PJ purchases does feel great.
