Penn & Teller - Biblia, czyli gówno prawda

Penn i Teller są duetem od kilkudziesięciu lat i wciąż pokazują triki w Las Vegas. Opracowali pewną rutynę - Penn gada ile wlezie, Teller nie mówi nic. Nic. Ich sposób bycia został wypracowany jeszcze zanim się poznali, Penn by przyciągnąć uwagę publiki przekrzykiwał ją, Teller milkł. Tak zostało do dziś, Penn gada i krzyczy, Teller robi w tym czasie sztuczki i posługuje się mimiką. Bullshit! jest programem sceptycznym. Penn i Teller są nastawieni sceptycznie do wszystkiego: religii, rządu, wszelkiego new age, nadprzyrodzonych zdarzeń i organizacji, które wciskają ludziom kit. Można powiedzieć, że podobnie jak Pogromcy mitów obalają co się da. Różnica polega na tym, że Penn i Teller atakują całe społeczności, systemy, przekonania, a nie jak Adam i Jamie, "urban legends". Penn and Teller: Bullshit! jest więc o wszechobecnym kicie, wciskanym nam przez kulturę, rząd, organizacje, prywatne osoby, które na ludzkiej naiwności chcą zbić kasę. Penn i Teller podchodząc do tematu spotykają się z ludźmi z obu stron barykady, z właścicielami firm, naukowcami, psychologami, przedstawicielami organizacji i politykami. Temu co ci ludzie mówią towarzyszy dosadna narracja Penna, który z tymi, którzy są w opozycji do niego, robi głupków oraz bezkompromisowo miesza ich poglądy z błotem. Ich zresztą też. Oto przykłady określeń z losowego odcinka: asshole (najczęściej używane określenie), sickfuck, motherfucker, power-junkie. Penn i Teller naśmiewają się nawet z ludzi, którzy trzymają ich stronę. Umiejętnie edytują materiał, humorystycznie komentują ich wypowiedzi, śmieją się z ich ubioru. Twórcy Bullshit! sami się przyznają do tego, że są dupkami.

@freshmann0910 You can't prove God existence to anyone, but it also can't be disproven. It's unlogical to think this perfect design has no creator, if the grave is the end for life what is the point in anything? There isn't were one of a trillion freak accidents that happened for no apparent reason

@DanielGlock26 We also have to remember that both solutions could be true. Namely that there's a creator (of course excluding the gods that people made up on earth) who/which created evolution, and we're only splitting hairs here. ;-)

@metalscottsman you haven't read the bible, explain the prophecies that have happened? Or even the simple fact of Jesus saying that closer to his coming like birth pangs there will be earthquakes, famines, pestilences? Do your research over many years they climbed dramatically, what if earthquakes stopped or became almost non existant? How would he know that we would still even be here 2000 years later?

I understand how easy it can be to be an atheist while your still in good health and living, but in that dieing hour or last few minutes you have on earth I guarantee you that you will ask yourself what if I was wrong? And then it may be too late for you

@SomeCanadianGuy01 Try to stick with the KJV, Matt 16:28 I believe he is saying that there are some of disciples who would fall away and choose the world over Christ, the second death the resurrection of the unjust, not a 100% on this one still a baby Christian here

@DanielGlock26 Atheism is a luxury, as Bill Maher said once :) - It's meant for people who have the luxury to be educated and moderately healthy and wealthy enough to establish themselves a strong will. You ask - "what if" a lot. And what if You're wrong ;)? At least I don't need a 2000 year old book written by desert nomads to tell me how to live my life ;) I consider myself above that.
