I can't see this strategy working. It's not like McCain hasn't pursued the Ayers "Connection" before. It never resonated because he could never explain how they're actually connected in a way that makes Obama look bad.

They don't have an economic plan so they've got to distract from that. One of McCain's top advisers has said that they're looking forward to "turning the page" on the economy and focusing on attacking Obama. In other words, screw what's happening to the average American, we've gotta smear Obama!
