Youre attempting to create a moral discussion when homosexuals are debated a legal one. Homosexual and have been and will continue to have relationships and commit to those relationships as well as have families. The reason for making it legal is to protect them legally when it comes to longterm benefits, taxes, children and assets etc. Polygamy wouldnt be so much a marriage as it would be a conglomerate. In cases of divorce, or other legal matters it could be messy.

@terceldude If you mean interspecies marriage it is impossible to know whether the other species enters into the marriage contract with full consent.

If you mean the sex act, then because it is impossible for other species to communicate with humans it is impossible for them to petition for rights. Therefor, a human practicing bestiality is not violating anybody's rights and is committing no crime..

@wogsland IMO, you've oversimplified polygamy by only looking at the semitic model. It is possible for one person to have two different partners in two different locations, for one woman to have a harem of men, or for a hippie communal "free love" arrangement.

As long as all parties are of the age of consent and knowingly consent to the situation, who cares? Again, its a "mind your own business" situation.

In marriage, what are your thoughts on 3rd, 2nd, or 1st cousins ... or siblings?

Polygamy should be legal too otherwise you are not politically correct.
