Sponsor: http://FreeKeene.com - Three Keene, New Hampshire residents have just been seized in Mississippi. They had just interviewed Ron Paul a day or two earlier in their mobile "video van." They are performing a sort of cross country activist adventure called Motor Home Diaries:. They were apparently trying to videotape a traffic stop. I'm not positive all three are Keene residents, but I think they are all Free Staters.

  • Do you know how silly it sounds to announce an emergency broadcast after a 38 second long commercial in a video that's only 1:16 seconds long? Have you considered how many people might stop watching after they see the same commercial before they even get to the emergency?

Seriously, Dave. I actually unsubscribed for a little while, and I'm an old fan of the Ridley Report. This is getting ridiculous. Are you reading these comments? This is sincere constructive criticism.

  • Dale you say silly like it's a bad thing! However in answer to your complaint...

on stories that *you* are an advertiser on, I will plan to not do this "short thing." I'll keep my ears open for other criticisms.

But I'd never get anything done if I worried too much about the possibility some people might criticize it. You may think it can be done better; if so I urge you to go do it better.

  • No offense, meant, CR. I live in south Georgia where I was born and raised so I can make fun of us good oIe boys with love but I'm speaking from experience. That's why my impersonation is so good! LOL "Dawg" is a reference to my alma mater The University of Georgia, by the way!

  • Happiness is a northbound yankee.

If you decide to take a trip in your cah, dont come south of Maryland, okay Dawg?

  • He needs to make some money if the movement is going to grow...his time is worth quite a bit and I know his rates are damn cheap...you could easily create a fund to buy sponsorship for his "emergency videos" if you are so concerned about getting more views.

good job Dave...been watching for couple years now.

  • You honestly don't feel like a 38 second advertisement in the front of a video barely over a minute long is too much for the attention spans of YouTubers?

All I'm suggesting is that you learn from the successes of others, and keeping advertisements reasonable and proportional is what works. It's better for the quality for viewers and it's better for advertisers because people are more likely to sit through it rather than hit "fast fwd" or just leave the page or even unsubscribe, as I did.

  • I don't want to compete with you. You're experienced and doing a good job overall. I want the Ridley Report to be a success. You're my ally.

I have complained on behalf of advertisers before, but in this case I'm actually more concerned about the emergency announcement being heard by as many people as possible.

  • I checked the links. The charges are BS. Maybe it's a shakedown for money. Same old story. I like the Keeniacs.
