From Autumn to Ashes is the singled greatest hardcore band before being a hardcore band was even fucking cool. This is probably the best hardcore song ever made, and sets the bar for all other bands, and they don't fucking touch it.

what i think ( could be wrong)
its based on shirley jackson's "the lottery" about a small town which hosts a lottery each year in which a sacrifice is chosen at randomt to appease whoever and ensure good harvests for the next year.
Although "the lottery" is based around June 27th not March 3rd. Im assuming its a sacrifice to ensure productivity levels at the factory stay well through the next year...
Just a guess.
