When I was 5 this was my all-time-super-amazing-favouri­te song, and I was told that it Anthony wrote it when Flea and John were getting closer, and he thought that he was losing Flea, so he turned to his addiction. (A place to get heroin was under a bridge.) After he wrote a song about it to let off some steam, but didn't plan on using it in the band. But a while after, their producer came over to look at the songs they had, and found Under The Bridge. He said it was awesome!
