This is a preview of a satirical documentary I am working on that tells the story of U.S. - Iran relations dating back to the first diplomatic exchanges between the two countries in the 1850's up through the 1953 CIA engineered coup that brought down the government of Mohammad Mossadeq and reinstalled Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.

  • If this was South Park, there would be a subtext at the bottom saying "THIS IS WHAT IRANIANS REALLY BELIEVE." There was actually a CIA sponsored overthrow of Mossadeq in 1953, but that was only a small part of cold war policy to keep the Soviets out of the mid-East (Mossadeq was making some pro-communist noises), not some conspiracy to oppress Iranians in particular.
