Those who stopped watching when Smith joined are NOT doctor who fans. There Tennant fans. For that reason, I don't think it fair that you come onto here and blab out garbage about how much you LOVED Tennant. Tennant was good, but Doctor Who is greater, If you guys don't believe that anymore, then stop trying to convince others the same thing.

Im sorry but this doctor who christmas special was really bad, don't get me wrong I love doctor its my favourte show and I think Smith, Gillan and Darville are amazing actors but I just didn't like this episode at all.. :) Happy new year

This Christmas Special had to be the greatest one ever!! The way Matt said "I know" made em enormously excited to watch it!! The ending was truly heartfelt and I loved it especially Amy Pond's jumper!! I wonder where I can get a jumper like that!! Doctor Who rules!!

@MsObscurum It did turn into the biggest rubbish... but that was around the time that Russell T Davies got his hands on the show and wrote an awful Doctor in the guise of David Tennant, with his terrible scripts resolved in the last 5 minutes, and brought in the WAY TOO LOUD INCIDENTAL MUSIC THAT NEVER SHUTS UP AND DOESNT ALLOW FOR A SINGLE BEAUTIFUL MOMENT BECAUSE ALL YOU CAN HEAR IS THE MUSIC!!!

I'm still watching DW, I just love it too much to quit, but I don't think that being critical makes me a bad fan. I'm tired with "Golden Trio" instead of THE DOCTOR + companions, I miss epsiodes placed on far planets with expressive secondary characters. I miss Daleks, show continuacy & major storylines.

I don't hate Matt, but he's too buddy-type for me, and Doctor should always be a leader. I won't feel guilty for hoping that 12th Doctor will force some changes in writing & good change one day.

I agree, every doctor has brought their own flare to the series. I was a bit displeased when Eccleston left and Tennant joined, then I was sad that Tennant left, but I still like the series as a whole. Smith is a good doctor, can't wait for the next series.

I watched this on iplayer the other week, I don't know what gone wrong with writting, Trial Of A Timelord is better than this, why The Happieness Patrol and Paradice Towers I can sit through with falling asleep, ok I nothing against Matt Smith as the Doctor but the stories don't really do him justice the other doctors have finest hour and everyone a peronal faverett Dr Who story
