  • I really want to make it but I have 2 questions. Can i use tissue? What can i use to subsitute joint compound? Please please please reply....

  • @karenkwan01 The tissue should work. Joint compound is an essential ingredient of this recipe, so if you don't want to use it you need a different recipe. Do a search for "paper pulp" paper mache.

  • @jbpitcher Maybe. I've never tried either one. I live in the desert, so I don't worry about mold.

  • @shareyah8 if you dont want toxic mache clay try doing this:

    mix 1 part glue with 1 part water until whatsoerver mixture the add strips of news paper and then done

    PS Must be White glue

    

  • @UltimatePaperMache The linseed oil, however, does have chemicals in it. If you're working with kids, or if your concerned about the chemicals, I recommend that you leave it out, or replace it with glycerine.
