Important: How to Get Saved
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QH14qHTFB94
Many people have argued that certain parts of the Bible appear to be morally backward, and therefore the Bible must have been written by primitive men and not God. However, this caused by a lack of Bible understanding. Whenever one comes to a difficulty in the Bible, they can either just assume it doesn't make sense because it's nonsensical, or they can actually research, and find out why it is the way it is. It is much more logical to look for the reasons behind the stories (because there are some good one) than to just run from Christ, who was willing to die on a cross from you.
Here are some very good sites for Bible research...

@lizazoon I know that Christians probably say this too much, but you really are taking it out of context. Jesus fulfilled the law. The law had its purpose (Jesus) and that purpose was fulfilled. We are not under the law because Christ has fulfilled it. We are not saved by the law; we are saved by Christ. Paul goes over this a lot in the book of Galatians, especially in the third chapter.

The separation between the rover and those on Earth is like the separation between us and God. The universe was originally meant to be in harmony w/ God. Because people's sins have separated it from God, the universe doesnt work like it should. The laws of nature are not quite what they were meant to be; they are not perfectly tuned for us.
For example, bacteria do not live in harmony with man, many species can kill him. Also, the weather is not perfectly tuned for man. It can kill him

Part I
Ok, I'll use an analogy. Suppose there is a rover on Mars being controlled by people on Earth. Everything is going fine, when suddenly the rover's communication system malfunctions. The people are still able to control the rover, but not with the precision they were able to, and this leads to all sorts of problems and malfunctions.

@ggcage --:One thing you have to realize is that in the OT God was talking to the ancient Jews, not us-- Totally wrong
;I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.--

@ggcage I am sorry, my dear, but this is just bible school nonsense. No evidence whatsoever for your claims. Just tell me how separation from god, caused leprosy, or small-pox, or polio. Thank you. !!

@lizazoon Yes, those things are caused by germs, weather patterns and the earth's crust, but they are ultimately caused by separation from God. The laws of nature would work for us and not against us if it were not for mankind's rebellion. Anything that is separated from God is also separated from His blessings, and cannot be expected to be perfect. Our sin polluted world is no exception. But Christ died so that we would not have to be completely separated forever.

@lizazoon Those things don't prove there never was a flood. There's a big difference between taking scripture literally and taking it out of context. The old laws of the ancient Jews were given to a very specific people for a very specific purpose, ultimately saving man. The Bible does not contradict science, and it does not promote atrocious behavior. It only appears so when it is twisted. If you truly seek God, you will find God. But if you only seek misunderstanding, then you'll get nowhere.

@lizazoon One thing you have to realize is that in the OT God was talking to the ancient Jews, not us. At this time God was in the process of getting Jesus in this world so He could do His job, which required a particular culture/society. So anyone who threatened the anceint Jewish nation/culture/society also threatened everyones salvation. That is why God was so serious about these. We should be thankful that God was this serious about saving us, who did not deserve it

@ggcage-- Bad things happen not because of God, but because of a lack of God. -- Tell me how diseases, earthquakes, floods, draughts, happen because of a lack of god. Thank you.

@lizazoon Well, it is sad, but God is far from any of those things. I made a my main channel video on this subject, but I will go over it briefly here. Bad things happen not because of God, but because of a lack of God. Because mankind has polluted this world with sin, we are separated from God and His blessings, and that is why these things happen, but God was willing to pay our penalty on a cross so that we would not gave to be completely separated from Him forever.
