Actually what you should do is get a Y cable to split the input into two channels. Right Channel - Lav Left Channel - Shotgun.

@michael1980123 That is not a good idea because your voice would be picked up in both the lapel and the shotgun mic.

@mlmlivesupport The talent wears a lavalier and a boom operator holds a shotgun mic in front of and over their head. That is industry standard.
