  • @cleank2o yes if the si has bolt ons they are close. stock for stock with 2 drivers with the same skills a supercharged ss is gonna win and a turbo ss is gonna win by quite a bit.

  • i have a 2007 SS S/C and its been a good car with not much going wrong with it and its decently fast for a 4 banger but the interior materials would be thrown out in a plastic toy factory in China. besides i bought the car new and i dont know what i was thinking. maybe i had just watched 2 fast 2 furious but im sick of FWD and that wing. time to step up. Im getting a 2005 Audi S4 in Nogaro blue. No more Chevy crap

  • @foolongtea SC'd cobalts ....the turbo SS's are pretty damn quick

  • @thatDUDEoverTHERE010 depending on which one your talking about. ive raced many turbo civics in my turbo ss with only an intake, custom 3.5inch exhaust and gm stg1 and its either been close untill high speeds were i walk away or just walk away from the start.

  • Um sir your vtec is ready want to deploy " FUCK YEA "

  • VTEC BIATCH!

  • it dont take much for a civic to be on par with a cobalt SS

  • @Metalhead852 Challenges I did get were mostly flaky like they knew that their civic was fast but wasn't enough to take on an old tuned JDM Celica GT. I belive that Honda is using Turbo in Acura's but not in HBs like the RSX-Type-s,or the TSX A- spec. The turbos are in the hi end Acuras, SUVs like the MDX, that is a heavier vehicle and AWD too so it would make scense. The lower line of cars HONDA has no factory turboed vehicles. But are good if tuned.

  • @Metalhead852 You are right but not any HONDA, The real JDM Sports cars like Skyline R32- 33s GT.

Toyota's, Mitsu,& Mazda just to name a few of the better ones. If you but the old Skyline up against a New Civic SI, the Skyline will probability beat it in the long run. But even Toyota had some good cars back then, I know because I owned a 1976 Celica GT 2.0R, I never got beat by a Civic SI. most of the challenges were Flakey like the civic owners knew that their SI coupe or HB.

  • @MixQuisite Older JDM Legends were factory turbo (could be wrong) as well as the Acura RDX (Turbo K23)

  • I seen a few SRT-4s & SSs run against Eks I seen a few SI give it a good run.

I would say a factory turbo or S/C engine would make a better foundation to mod because the internals are stronger although the compression ratio is lower. K20s rated @10:1- 11:1but needed because of the vtec lift thus giving you the hi rpm preformance, Honda doesn't have a factory S/C or turbo engine so, Yea ya can have a good runner wit a civic. The SRT's can be extremely faster.
