This takes me back. I saw Don MClean at a one night only perfomance at the Palladium in the 70's just as this album was released. He was brilliant, he had no backing band just him and his guitar and he over run by about an hour, people were having to leave to catch their last trains home, we didn't we got a cab. It was one of the most moving experiences of my life. The man is a genius.

My favorite Don McLean song. Caught Don at the Keswick Theater in PA last year. Was a GREAT show (although he didn't play this song, despite our vocal pleas!), despite several broken guitar strngs!!
