Nipigon, Ontario, simply fly from Toronto, Ontario to Thunder Bay, Ontario (1.5 hour flight) and Nipigon is just over
an hour East by car from Thunder Bay. Nipigon is at the most Northern tip of Lake Superior and home
to some of the best fresh water fishing in the world.

Hey, I am going to fish nipigon river this summer. I am specifically targeting salmon and brook trout. I already have a rough idea of the best lures and baits for salmon there, but what lure and bait were you using?

we use Rapala J-13 for salmon and any shiney spinner with worm for specks.

Didnt the world Record Speck come out of the Nipigon River? I take a trip to Longlac every year for 2 weeks trout and northern fishing. Mostly lake fishing, but Im willin to give this a whirl. Nipigon is only a few hours I do believe. Is there decent fishing from a set of waders or is the river too deep?
