First, using cloth grocery bags does not make a person liberal. I am pretty conservative. Second, cloth can be washed. Third, thankfully there is no law against using plastic bags. By all means do not use cloth bags if you don't want.

Cloth grocery bags are filthy with pet hairs, mites, germs, rotten food particles. Liberals want to save a tree while they spread this filth around the grocery store. What is the real cost of your symbolism over substance.
