@3003BG Actually to clarify, the signs of Alzheimer's disease did not appear until the early 90's because we simply did not know how to identify Alzheimer's that early on. This isn't to say that Reagan was out of his mind with Dementia, however there is compelling evidence that the early symptoms of Alzheimer's were beginning to take place.

@3003BG He was forgetting the names of key white house advisors, people he knew for a long time. This came out from his biographer.

@noninous His doctors say that from 1984 to 1989, he showed no symptoms of that disease until the early 1990s. Yes, he did have memory lapses, but again, his doctors say it wasn't connected with the future illness.
