Back in 1989, the concept of the strolling reggae band was first introduced to Central Florida. The Tropicals made their debut as a trio featuring acoustic guitar, percussion and "pan around the neck" (steel drums). In the spirit of Jamaican mento bands, always on the move, this group of roving natives is well known for their highly interactive presentation. The current line-up, "The Tropicals at Their Best", is an all acoustic recording featuring bass, percussion, cuatro, guitar and mandolin. Fresh from the Caribbean... sand, surf and sea ... we invite you to savor the sweet flavor of this latest tropical release by this strolling band of natives. Features all acoustic instruments including the steel drum. Very familiar songs like "Lion Sleeps" and "Watermelon Man."
