  • Brilliant performance of an underrated song. This just shows how diverse The Cure is. No other band as far as I know can do something so different and yet sound so convincing. Here, dare I say, 'Gone' sounds like a nice blend of The Cure's eccentric pop, jazz and R 'n' B music (with all those wonderful back-up singers)!

  • I love this song, is kinda Jazzy, love the bass line, and the lyrics I always play it in my car when im going out somewhere

  • good song. not easy to do live and the band are brave to do so! fucky bass though!

  • Roberts vocals are superb in this video

  • i totally agree

    cure at it's best!!!

  • Wow The Cure And Robert Smith are varied musicians, they can do jsut about any style very well cabaret, rock, punk, darkwave etc... anything they do its amazing Rap would be very interesting for them to try lol, I hope they continue to inspire and make wonderful music.

  • whatever, the sexy cure backup section in shiny pants is MADE of WIN!

but seriously, its perfect for the song. it wouldnt be the same without it, or with just a robert backing tape... i can see why they dont do it all the time, but its a shame they dont do it on more songs cos its kinda nice.

  • I will be seeing The Cure at the Wembley Arena, too! They are playing a day after my birthday! After nearly two years...

  • JUst a shame about the back vocals...I am too used to the old style (just the band...kinda thing). So pleased to see Roger again. Just wish we could see them in a special CURE program somewhere...Ahhh I am seeing them in Wembley in two weeks!!! Wow...Cannot wait!

  • It's a treat to watch Simon Gallup's bass playing, Robert's singing along with the backing vocalists, the horn section, Jason's drumming, Perry and Roger's keyboard skills! Everything is undoubtedly good about this song. Just great!

  • This song is so positive and meaningful that for the past two days, I have been listening to this song before I go to bed and as soon as I wake up. This live performance is better than the recorded version.
