Here is a video of Orchard View Farms' packing house in The Dalles, Oregon. Our View Fresh bags provide optimum conditions for Sweet Cherries to stay fresh for long periods of time. This enables the cherry to be shipped via Ocean Vessel with confidence that the cherries will arrive fresh and crisp. We modify the atmosphere in the bags upon sealing them.
We cool the cherries in the orchard with a mobile hydro cooler. We cool them upon arrival to our plant in another hydro cooler. We place the cherries in cold storage. Upon packing, the cherries flow through another hydro cooled pool and then are packed.
