Used your video to replace to tear apart my wii. Then instead of just replacing the whole DVD drive, I looked at another video to replace the laser head. It was super easy, worked like a charm and saved me $60 bucks. It is criminal what Nintendo wants to charge for that. Next time I' ll buy my parts from Console Zombie. Thanks guys.

Words of wisdom: Never use magnetic screwdrivers when working with computers or consoles. Sure, the danger really only applies to magnetic disks, but you can never be too careful.

hey i got a question for u my wii i put a mod-chip on it all the games work on it but sometime it gives the error no disc in the drive then i clean it it for a bit then the error comes back can u tell what i need to do . thx

Sounds like the laser is on the way out.

but it only does wit my burn games the error if i put a normal game it works fine i am having the same problem wit my xbox 360 too

A laser problem is more likely to show with crappy media you're probably using to burn your games. At least that's my educated guess.
