I love this song and the whole This is Love album. The Archies are the songbook of my life, and the music never fails to lift me. Great songs but i think the spectacular singer, the most versatile man in the business, is what gives these pieces their shine. Anyone have Plum Crazy/Strangers in the Morning out there to post? Fine songs, great direction for the future that never was.
I wanna see those unreleased TV songs on CD too!

@seldomheardsongs I would love to see unreleased songs by the Archies too! I had all their LPs except for the last one, This is Love, which was not distributed properly! Thanks for posting these terrific Archies tunes!

I just bought a copy of "Andy Kim's Greatest Hits", releasedi in 1974. I'm assuming was released before "Rock Me Gently" became a hit, because it is not on this collection. But it DOES have "How'd We Ever Get This Way", and I was pleasently suprised (but not really THAT surprised) to find out that Jeff Barry and Andy Kim wrote that song too! No wonder it sounds so much like "Together We Two"! Interestingly, "3 is a Magic Number" came out as a single right around the same time!

There's another lovely tune this great song makes me think of: Have you ever noticed how similiar this song sounds to Schoolhouse Rock's "Three is a Magic Number"? in melody and chord structure? While "Three is a Magic Number" may not be as romantic as "Together We Two" it's a lovely song by itself, and the accompanying cartoon is cute too! Plus it's educational! Hey! Maybe there IS a connection between the songs- I mean, think about it! Together we TWO.......THREE is a magic number......

Well, I'm old enough that I remember watching them all on CBS during their first run. I didn't get to watch The New Archie/Sabrina Hour on NBC much because by that time, I was working nights and weekends at Hardee's. I remember catching a couple of episodes of it and thinking... YUCK... Filmation has really cut back. They didn't even bother having lip movements to match the songs... and those white unisex outfits that they had the Archies in during the musical numbers. Sheesh.

Right, I know, but with only 500 characters per comment to write with, I couldn't give the ENTIRE history of Archie cartoons in only a couple of comments. (The Archie Show, The Archie Comedy Hour, Archie's TV Funnies, Archie's Funhouse Featuring the Giant Jukebox, Tbhe U. S. of Archie, The Archie/Sabrina Hour, just to name a few!)Actually, "Archie's TV Funnies" was the first "Archie" cartoon on television that I can remember watching! It's nice that oter peop;le remember these c;assics too!

Actually, "Archie's TV Funnies" started in the fall of 1971 and ran for two seasons, but there was no mention of the musical group on that show as Filmation and Don Kirshner had parted ways.
Fantastic tune! Always loved it! Your animated sequences fit it perfectly! I have all The Archies' albums, 6 in all, including their recent Christmas release, which once again features Ron Dante as the singing voice of Archie. While I love all the music on every album, there's a certain sophistication on the "Sunshine" and "This is Love" albums that is not present on the others. "Together wWe Two" was the only song on the album written by the song writing team of Jeff Barry and Andy Kim.

Thanks for the compliment. I too, have all the Archies albums and yes, there was a difference in the material compared to the earlier music but still some of the best pop music around. "Together We Two" has a very close arrangement to Andy Kim's "How'd We Ever Get This Way" which I find interesting. I'm glad everyone is enjoying the song and video. "Together We Two" is now available on iTunes for those still looking for it.

I'm glad this has brought such enjoyment to everyone so far. This song is one of my all time favorites. In putting it together I hoped that viewers might enjoy a "lost" favorite or discover, as I did, a hidden gem among the great music The Archies made. Please say hello and thanks to your mom for me.

Unfortunately, "Together We Two" was released after Filmation had stopped animating Archies' songs from the original Archies music group. It is a shame. This single never got the exposure it deserved. This is a great song and would have done well on the charts if it had been promoted properly. You've done a great job mixing Filmation animation from other Archies videos to create this one. Thumbs UP!

Thanks for the thumbs up. I agree this along with "Who's Your Baby" should have been better promoted. Ron & Donna Marie's vocals are great on this song. Back in the mid-80's I found mint promo singles for this song and "This is Love" along with 2 unopened copies of the LP. I never knew they existed. I'm hoping Ron can pull off getting the unreleased music from the series out on CD soon. "Puppet on a String" & "Love Vibrations" are my favorites from that era.
