Hobo blues - John Lee Hooker - National Style O Deluxe - Ariberto Osio

I am really attracted by the magnetic force of Mr. Hooker voice in this piece ( http://www.youtube.com/user/000neutron000#p/a/u/1/zYrVwGxlcFA ) for I feel it so huge and deep and I can't stop listen to it without continue to remain fascinated and...hooked! ;-)
Not being gifted with that voice quality it's quite an hard task for me to sing this song with the same unattainable
power and depth so here I've simply tried to get the the intention of this blues master, hitting the notes on a recent made brightly sounding National Reso-Phonic brass body Style O Deluxe.

Oh man awsome! I love john Lee Hookers style. Im a Novice and trying to learn. would you mind pointing me out in the right direction please? what John lee hooker songs would be good for a beginneer to start out with to cut my y=teeth on. I can't read notes yet im learning but can read tab.
