Silva Mind Control History

Silva began developing the method; formerly known as Silva Mind Control, in the 1940s before launching it commercially in the 1960s.[1][2]. It developed out of Silva's conviction that the thoughts and actions of 90% of the world's population were governed by the the left hemisphere of their brain; limiting them using only logical, intellectual, objective means of problem resolution. Silva believed that by training people to think with both the right brain hemisphere as well as their left they could access information stored at a subconscious level. [1][2] According to Skeptical author Robert Carroll, the Silva method appears to be based on the work of Roger Wolcott Sperry, but with Silva's own twists in it that make it an inaccurate model. [1]

SKYSPLASH Thank you for all the work,effort and care you put into posting these videos. I really appreciate them. I still feel many things were not answered. Jose was certainly shown as not a orthodox believer BUT are the techniques valid and does this unlock natural human abilities? But again thank you...JB

Is it the ablity of a Man of his own accord to do these things . Or of some other Spirit. In the End we test the spirits to see what they say. In Joe Silva's Case this is not of the Holy Spirit.

Yes the Holy Spirit is always at work to lead people to Christ.

SKYSPLASH Jesus said (paraphrase) Speak to the Mountain and if you believe and dont doubt it will or Must move. He also said NOTHING is Impossible to them that believe and ALL Things are possible to them that believe. You are not seeing this in Christianity nor are you seeing the works and greater works of CHRIST...my question is WHY, are we so programmed NOT to believe we have not faith? We should be doing daily signs and wonders confirming JESUS is LORD, but we arent. WHY?

First Faith is not a Power that we can derive on our own. In Hebrews 12 Faith is Authored By Jesus Christ in Us. He is the Author and Finisher of our Faith. Jesus even said let your will be done father and not mine.

If it is the will of God that mountain will be moved. The Work of God is the Power of Salvation through the Cross. To share the Gospel of Grace for the Power of Salvation through Jesus Christ is the Greater work.

We who are Born again are New Creatures in CHrist not litte gods.

How can participating in the Silva Method open one up to demons? I know of priests and nuns and ministers who practice the silva method to help other people. How can they be instruments of the devil? "By their fruits you shall know them" says the Bible. Their fruit in terms of helping others is much better than the hypocrisy I see in evangelical christians who judge others based on their interpretation of scripture.

I agree.

I think Silva is a useful method -- not perfect but useful. Silva himself was a genuinely believing Christian (which I am not). He had to argue that what he was doing was compatible with Christianity, which in his case it certainly was.

That means standing up to people who want to throw him to the wolves for trying to help other people and, mostly, succeeding. I pity the person who is too blinded by dogma to see the value of this, but you are right -- God is never blinded that way.

Actually I seem confused, I started on a born-again process many years ago, then eventually, gotten off the ban wagon, many faiths, after awhile it goes sour in my mouth so to speak. Christianity only the past 30-40 years ago, has been seriously as the only true faith as Jesus inside of you, then a few yrs ago it is the holy spirit, is inside of you whom is it? SEE all this confusion, and JC said turn your cheek and christians go to war and kill others, even other christians of enemies? mind ok

That comment is not for christians in general but for those fundamentalist who believe that THEIR way of worship are the true one, I know many christians in this land and they are so different and so open minded compared with the fundamentalist, Fundamentalism is evil, is the root of all violence; and both Muslim and Christianity had a tarnish record. The Pharisees were example of fundamentalism that Jesus had denounced

That is called ARROGANCE, arrogance from a Western based religion, from a book based upon the teachings of Paul a person who did not know Jesus, a religion that praises themselves to be the unique one and considering other and more ancient faiths and believes as false, and from their believe that by knowing Jesus only we wil be saved, I wonder what could happen with the millions of hindus, budists, and many people from other believes, before 1AD and now? I had not hear any answer.

The fact that people argue is a good thing... it brings us closer to the truth. The fact that these people were willing to sit on a panel and discuss these powerful issues with various levels of civility and respect (and this is back in the Eighties) means we are moving forward. I believe that the cosmos is interconnected in ways that will take us many more centuries (if ever) to understand fully. I focus on loving myself, loving others, and celebrating this amazing journey we call life!

Silva's method is proving itself valuable to real problem-solvers. Bible study does not teach a method as effective for solving real problems. All the dogmatic religions divert both children and adults from the practical problems of humanity living in tune with nature's reality. Humanity continues neglecting nature's reality as they focus on fantasies and continually destroy the biosphere. The revolution to human sanity is yet to come. Folks can use Silva method to help solve this problem!!

this world is crazy, or perhaps just people. everyone thinks they are right. the christian or followers of the jesus christ panelists are sitting in their seats conident in their knowledge, and jose and the other guy is also. both arguing over nonsense. and someone will comment me back saying that it is not nonsense, "sin" is serious! im really tired of everybody debating about these age old questions.

well you know jesus was judge the same way by the jews, they said he was of an evil spirit because he did works as if he was God. because he was helping people and did not care who they were, and called them good, even when the religious people called them bad. Jesus did not come to condem. he also reminded the people that they had god with them to, not just the religious jews. christians today are New age Jews.
