This is the first time I have heard Jeans version of this beautiful song and she sings with so much feeling. Sorry Jim Reeves yours was good but I think this lovely lady has recorded the definitive version of the of this song.

JACK TOOMBS WROTE THIS SONG. HE WROTE MANY MANY HITS IN THE 50's AND 60's. HE DOESN'T GET ENOUGH CREDIT FOR HIS WORK. HE WROTE SOME OF THE GREATEST COUNTRY SONGS.

This is beautiful! It is just hard to believe that Jean Shepard has never been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. I agree with you, what a beautiful voice Jeannie has, and her late husband Hawkshaw Hawkins shouls also be inducted into the Country Music Hall of fame too. You tell em MoJoPiano!
