Check also part 2 & 3 of the video under the same title. NHL star goaltender Henrik Lundqvist of the New York Rangers stretches and warms up at the start of the third period against the Ottawa Senators at ScotiaBank Place in Ottawa on November 14, 2009 (Rangers @ Senators 11/14/09). The native from Are, Sweden was selected 205th overall in the 7th round of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Rangers. According to Wikipedia, Lundqvist was nominated for the Vezina Trophy in his first three seasons in the NHL and is the only goaltender in NHL history to record 30 wins in each of his first five seasons. Nicknamed "King Henrik" by the New York sports media, he led Sweden's national men's ice hockey team to the gold medal at the 2006 winter Olympics in Torino, Italy.
Little known fact, Henrik gets his skates sharpened on a diagonal line to widen his stance, why he doesn't move as smooth as others ;) still one hell of a goalie though.
