  • @Sammieandchoisey now on. not now often lol:P

  • I have a retired polo pony. She's argentinian, and is 28. I've owned her for a year now, and she's the most wonderful pony i've ever owned. I'm deffo gonna buy polo ponies from now often. They are so genuine!

  • @yahamagirl160 looks to me like a large dandy

  • what did he use for coaming the tail?

  • i really dont know because i didnt see him as a polo pony. i was told it was because he wasnt agressive enough, the person who informed of this could be wrong. hes a bit head shy, so that could have been the problem. i found it odd that he was a gelding playing polo/being trained for polo. to my knowledge and from what ive been told they usually use mares. though as you can tell, im obviously not into polo lol im just hunter/jumper.

  • @ThePunkIrish27

agression is not a desired trait for a polo pony... if anithing they have to be quiet when close to other horses otherwise it might kick another horse. i assume you mean ball shy? or sluggish? x

  • ok, it´s just that the way you said that sounded very akward. btw if he cannot stand being with other horses or getting close to the ball I wouldn´t call him an ex polo player... it takes a long time to accomplish such a title, and it is definately not possible with the traits you mention your horse has. and if "they" are polo polo players or trainers I seriously doubt they would want to punish him that way. but I´m glad you put him out of misery, of course

  • well i didnt give a detailed explaination. no he doesnt spook easy as at all. and hes my hunter jumper now. he just needs to get his head down lol. the place he came from was in south carolina, after they stopped using him they just left him out in the field and didnt take great care of him. he was emaciated. now i have him. and hes fatter and healither. hes really really sane. but just wasnt cut out to be a polo pony.

  • @ThePunkIrish27 well no but the way u put in that setnece got the wrong idea like i did and well that horse needs some serious training cause it must get spooked easily yes???

  • no its actually rather legit my dear... He was an ex race horse, and ex polo pony. He could not withstand being pushed around by the other horses. When i say agressive, I dont mean it in terms of fighting obviously. Do you honestly think they want horses that wont go near the ball because they dont want to be close to the other horses?
