The presidents of Armenian and Azerbaijani again failed to make a breakthrough on the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh when they met in Moscow on July 17, and a peace deal seems as elusive as ever. Ahead of the meeting, RFE/RL correspondents asked Azerbaijanis and Armenians whether they are ready for a possible peace agreement.

  • 0:16 Respect. Idiot armenians must go back to their homeland Iran.

  • I'm sure that once the Turkish denial of the genocide, as well as the long-running Armenian presence in Anatolia fades, the Turks and Armenians will reconcile. Same with the Azeris: once they accept that Armenians are not "invaders", and are not "gypsy people" like they claim, and that Azeri presence in the Caucasus doesn't go for more than three centuries. The problem is propaganda. Azeris and Armenians in Iran get along just fine, and that's because Baku's has little influence over them.

  • There is this myth about Azerbaijan being an "ancient" country, when in reality, it hasn't even existed for more than a century. While Armenians have time and time again established kingdoms in the region. Azeris don't even acknowledge that Armenia was the first Christian nation in the world, and insist instead that "Azeri Caucasian Albanians" were. The problem is that Azeris have created an identity for themselves that defies reality, logic, and history, and this is why they can't live in peace

  • Armenians and Azeris (along with Turks) can't live in peace because the Turks and Azeris reject and negate almost the most fundamental aspects of Armenian identity and culture. They refuse to acknowledge that Armenians were in the region long before their Mongoloid ancestors. This is proven through history, as well as linguistics, as the Turkic languages which Turkish and Azerbaijani belong to stem from Central Asia.

  • Forget about Karabakh, Nakhichevan on how we

  • @ArmenianEducation the first armenian king was 2500 bc, thats the time of the pharos

  • @ArmenianEducation ,

why don't you speak about that Armenia existed 1000 year before slavs appeared? (For ultranationalist azerbaijanian idiots: russians originate from slavs; just like ukrainians, serbs, czechs etc...)

  • @lifemaster1g The young azeri guy was actually more logical and smart than the old shmuck.

  • @qw2589 exactly, it is funny that a 50-60yr man like him tells some bullshit propaganda that i used to think works only on young generation, apparently older ones get brainwashed too.

  • When an older man talks propaganda instead of real history, like Armenia on ancient lands, thats when you know your propaganda machine is working and most of the people are duped with no knowledge of history
