Example of a scan using the Riegl Z420i laser range scanner

This is a re-enactment of single scan of the engineering area at Monash University, Australia. The scan time took about 20 minutes for 5-6 million points (user selectable angular resolution). And about 5-10 minutes to capture colour information using a Nikon SLR mounted on top of the scanner. The colour information was fused with the point cloud using the Riscan Pro software that came with the scanner.
