The music is by Beirut...a song called The Gulag Orkestar. I love their music, it's all very good. But Olivia's dancing brings this to life. She & Zafira NEVER disappoint! I am constantly amazed by their badassness & will be sooo missing them at Triboriginal this weekend.

What music is this? I love this video. But what kind of tribal style is this. This is different that any other I have seen. The music they choose is different too.

it's Beirut..the first song off of Gulag Orkestar- it is an amazing CD and an amazing interpretation of the music by Olivia!

This is more of a Fusion Piece, at the start it looks as though she is doing Indian Mudra's then works her way into burlesque and "dark" cabaret, as the Indigo, Ultra Gypsy and the like have been doing Taking thinigs back to the 20s-50's where burlesque was the only place you saw bellydance in America.

It's the Gulag Orkestar by Beirut. Beirut's really folky, but it's awesome.

I've watched this clip a few time now and I just want to say that I have been totally inspired by this performance and I can't wait to take a Zafira workshop. Olivia's stage presence, skill and confidence are just wonderful... talent like this takes much wisdom and experience to develop.
