A good idea but poorly eggsecuted ;)
only the old people and foreign guy fell for it because they had never heard of pokemon before. Most people coming across references to something they have never heard of would just assume it was a real thing they had never heard of. I think you should do it again but try it on more 15-30 year olds and slowly change the topic to pokemon rather than just throwing in references.
