maybe its just me, but to me rape is one of if not the worst thing a human being can do to another human being. at least with murder the person you kill doesn't have to deal with the fact that they have been violated in such a way that will shake them to their core for the rest of their life, the torture that the survivor will have to go through for the rest of their life looking over there shoulder and what not.

No, I'm defending the creator's right to depict rape. The user I replied to implied that the creator was mentally defective because he depicted rape, presumably. I happen to think Edmund has a right to exist. Whether I think Edmund is worthwhile as a piece of art is immaterial. Again, you're guilty of misinterpreting my comments. I have never stated that Edmund comments on rape in a 'deep, interesting way'. You merely assumed that I did. I stated that rape is provocative ('tending to provoke a response, e.g., anger or disagreement'). Please, if you intend to start an argument with me make sure that you understand my viewpoint.
