BEFORE YOU ALL LAUGH AT ME: YES, I REALIZE I SPELLED "PRIVILEGE" WRONG! xD

I take pride in the video, despite the spelling errors, because to my knowledge the events are now in an accurate timeline, while the actual movie "Iron Jawed Angels" moves some events for the sake of the narrative.

I may be only 16, so I can't vote, but I can encourage women of voting age in the United States to vote, which is more gratifying to me.

btw, Alice Paul is my personal hero. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

There is so much that wasn't mentioned in the video, because there is so much information to cover in so little time. So much before and after, that I almost feel bad for not mentioning it...If you want to know more about these amazing women, vist this website (or google for the subject):

http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/...

and for more on the movie I used in the video, "Iron Jawed Angels":

Thank you for taking the time to watch this video, and whether you are American or not, I hope you've learned something.

- Katherine

ps. the song is "Beatiful" by Mandalay. The song was used in the credits of the film.

Thank you :) I'm still so flattered that teachers are using this video as a teaching aid, even with all the spelling errors! xD I'm really glad you like it.

You watched the movie in s.s. or my video? I would be absolutely flattered if teachers are using this as a teaching tool! xD if not, still glad teachers are showing the movie in class because it's pretty darn accurate compared to some over movies that are "based on true events"

i watched that movie and i was sad at how many women still treated and men still have more privilege. I loved watching this movie and the stoning of soraya. I cried. I couldn't imagine living during these times.

No disrespect, but you really are clueless about how horrific things are over there for women. Not everywhere is bad, but many countries in the middle east are horrible and disgusting. Women are treated like more like possessions than humans and in many cases worse. There is a movie(Based on a stoning death of a young woman in 1986) called The Stoning Of Soraya M., that may open your eyes on a womans status then, and how little it's changed.Theirs is a life of few joys and constant fear.

Someone should translate this into arabic and play it to inspire the women of the middle east to demand the vote.

Battle for rights have been going for centuries and you can't just say it wasn't a hard struggle for each individual group. We don't cry because of the fact that we don't have it. We cry because of the struggle to get that right. To say that their struggle wasn't much compared to whatever other group that did not have it at their time in history, just makes you heartless. No one can make you see that heartfelt struggle, so don't go around telling people to stop crying because of it.

all men had the right to vote before women, it's not like noble women could have vote before poor men; women are not P3n1s envy but power envy
