BEFORE YOU ALL LAUGH AT ME: YES, I REALIZE I SPELLED "PRIVILEGE" WRONG! xD

I take pride in the video, despite the spelling errors, because to my knowledge the events are now in an accurate timeline, while the actual movie "Iron Jawed Angels" moves some events for the sake of the narrative.

I may be only 16, so I can't vote, but I can encourage women of voting age in the United States to vote, which is more gratifying to me.

btw, Alice Paul is my personal hero. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

There is so much that wasn't mentioned in the video, because there is so much information to cover in so little time. So much before and after, that I almost feel bad for not mentioning it...If you want to know more about these amazing women, vist this website (or google for the subject):

http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/USAwomen.htm

and for more on the movie I used in the video, "Iron Jawed Angels":

Thank you for taking the time to watch this video, and whether you are American or not, I hope you've learned something.

- Katherine

ps. the song is "Beatiful" by Mandalay. The song was used in the credits of the film.

  • omg when i saw this video in s.s i was omg it was sad but i was happy

  • @xmenromylover You watched the movie in s.s. or my video? I would be absolutely flattered if teachers are using this as a teaching tool! xD if not, still glad teachers are showing the movie in class because it's pretty darn accurate compared to some over movies that are "based on true events"

  • I talked about this video in my s.s class and i got extra points on my project about Alice Paul. It really shows what history is, and what we wanted and got

  • that's really cool. I'm glad I could help! xD

  • that saying at the beginning it want alice paul it was her mom

  • it was something she picked up from her mother. she always said it to her, and the newpapers and whatnot quoted alice saying it.
