DJ Notch Winning Set at DMC Denver Regionals 2010

I can't blame this guy for anything, all he did was enter the battle.
And I can't blame it on the judges, all they did was choose who they felt was the best (or least wackest) out of the crop of entries.
This is just another end result to the years and years of whoring out of DJ battles. DJ battles every weekend, every car show, every record store, weekly battles, etc. Diluting the skills down to zero.
DMC should be embarrassed that this level of skills in 2010, can win one of their battles.

@coloradohiphop thanks for keepin it positive!

reading all of the negative comments has kinda got me trippin'...
what credentials do these fools have to say ish about the homie Notch?
if they had any credentials they wouldve been judging or entered the fucking comp... We should be thankful that the DMCs still go down, real hiphop heads unite and quit causing division within a dying culture!
Bless,

Big names don't avoid battles for fear of losing. They graduate and have to work, become professional DJs, or get into music and production. Throw in the fact that there has been little to no progression of battling in the last 8-10 years outside of record production (ie zomg le jad records) and its easy to see why it has dulled in interest. Sets for big battles take months to build and perfect, it takes all of your focus and time.

@alefillman no probs, theres not enough love & unity, this is a dying artform, yeah theres better but they didnt come down & enter... ive been in this dj game for 28yrs with skills that were passed down to me, you can never re-live the late 80's early 90's but please show support for dj's & help out with advice rather than diss..
dont diss, all those big names peeps keep droppin wont enter comps anymore as theyre scared of losing face.. give the guy props for keeping it real on the turntables. show some love for our dying artform, being replaced by finger clickin, downloadin, mp3 computer trash....
