This was inspired by a coat worn by Reese Witherspoon in the opening scenes of Vanity Fair.
Made 100% silk taffeta in dramatic midnight blue shot with black
Period correct style with stand up collar

    Thank you for your kind comments. Ive really only scratched the suface so far in terms of all the things I want to do in costuming. You are obviously an 18th century fan as I am.

    The hat was a very simple strawhat base and then massive silk mob cap attached to the crown then trim trim trim til your hearts content! The shoes are by fugawee. I then had them dyed and added ribbons.
