Took it easy today...

Nice light day. Warmed up to 385 lbs for a comfortable single and then went to my working sets. Meant to hit 2 sets of 10 reps with 305 lbs, but lost count on the first set and only did 9 reps. Made sure to count properly on the 2nd set and hit 10 reps. Both sets were done somewhere @8.

I was going to hit 2 sets of 10 reps with 280 lbs on the close-grip, but my body wasn't used to the hypertrophy work and I barely hit 10 reps on the first set. I had such a huge pump, my arms/chest/shoulders felt like they were going to explode! I called it quits after the 1st set of close-grips. 30 reps for working sets is enough for the first hypertrophy day in a long time...

I'll move the weight up a little bit next workout.

  • bro. I can't wait til I can take it easy. lol you've made me call in to question the limiting thoughts in my mind. Thanks. Keep doing what your doing.

  • @Successbound1

Thanks man - definitely expand your limits for sure...there are virtually none if you keep at it! I appreciate the comment.

  • Good job bro! Kinda funny how you picked the song "taking it easy", considering you really are taking it easy for this workout, a break from the heavy stuff

  • @PowerlifterTy16

Yeah...kind of funny how that worked out, huh? Could be because I thought the song fit the theme of the workout...

    Thanks for the comment.
