I m sick to watching american moovies.. I am really sick of it... Persepolis it s an French moovie.. BRILLIANT, REAL, BEAUTIFUL... Rosario tijeras is a colombian moovie so wonderful too... La vita e bela is an Beautiful italian moovie.. and XXY is a really good argentinian moovie... STOP WATCHING AMERICAN PIE.... AMERICAN MOOVIES SUCK RIGHT NOW

You people are generalizing too much. American films don't suck at the moment. You just have to know which ones to see.

But I agree that there are many amazing foreign films too.

No ameracan movies suck because they have no artistec perseption and like to feed our brains with rubbish about fictional characters that like to rub in our face how they always get a happy ending and it isnt real!!

Well, I don't know what kind of movies you like watching (like to tell you whether you should or not) as for me, I liked it a lot and recommend this one to everyone, but then if you don't like it, it's just up to your taste.
So, in conclusion, I'd tell you, yes you SHOULD watch it ;)

This movie was so emotionally honest. I love foreign films because they open our eyes to the twisted truths in our society. I liked how Alex decided to not get a surgery or take the pills anymore and accept herself. Oh and Alex WAS played by a female.

Because culturally we're more hell-bent on denying we have any problems at all instead of doing the right thing and trying to fix them. Few US films are honest, gritty, daring, and effectively draw in the audience to create an emotional reaction by talking about REAL issues. Instead of trying to hide them like we always do. It's disgusting, and we need to wake up, and in order to do that, our art needs to become more daring and in-your-face.
