He was known for being the lead singer of British band The Smiths. When the band broke up in 1987, Morrissey developed a successful solo career and is one of the few artists to have Top 10 songs on the UK charts in three different decades. His musical partner on this record was the producer of his former band, Stephen Street, and had the participation of guitarist Vini Reilly of Durutti Column. The songs "Suedehead" and "Everyday is like Sunday" did quite successfully.
