Asuras tad viparyayah. And the asura, or the demons, godless. So if the Americans remain godless in the name of so-called trust in God, they will not be able to check this communistic movement. They will not be able. Now, if they are serious to check this communistic movement, save the American country as well as the whole world, then they must be very serious to understand what is God and what is trust in God. Otherwise this communistic movement will finish the civilized human society. So you are thoughtful. They must be very serious about it. And this is the only movement, Krsna consciousness, which can make all people actually trust in God and explain what is meant by God. Demons, they... If the communists are demons and the capitalists are also demons, fighting between demons, there will be war and loss of life, but nobody will come out victorious. That is going on. There is occasional world war, but the situation of the world remains the same. No party has become able to change the situation of the world.

Actually many german prioners did not return home well fed and looked after, as the narrator implied. 100,000's of them died of hunger and disease in american, french and soviet camps.

Are you what we call Golly-Doo? Britain handled over one million German POW, only 2 died, both shot, one refused to stop- a man who just ran away, just 2 out of 1 million died, And every morning they had 2 eggs, bacon, sausages, tea, coffee, and 3 meals a day, I imagine in the Usa IT WAS EVEN BETTER.

My father in law was in the Military Police, served on the Queen Mary, took prisoners to NY, he said they were delighted to get away, most would have died on the Eastern front, and knew it. In my small village we had Germans wanrering freely, most went to the cinema. Which raises the question did they pay or get a free pass?

Some did, but not likely in US camps. We had German prisoners here in Saginaw, Michigan. They were flown into airport KMBS (Tri City Airport) to be housed. Most worked on area farms for the summer no having any armed guards around them - being dropped off in the morning and picked up in the evening to go back to their barracks.. They were happy to be here.

That the French and Soviets had a vastly different view of these men is understandable after their countries were ravaged and raped.

The documentary is interesting but has some mistakes. Not ALL prisoners were treated well. It is on record that some German prisoners were tortured on US soil- for example certain U boat crew members in 1944. But yes it is true the MAJORITY were treated well in prison camps. I Stalin's camps it was the other way round, I have read they received bestial treatment and died in their tens - hundreds of thousands.

Your last sentence is 100% wrong. U.S. POW camps were well documented and were monitored by various organisations under the Geneva Convention. Several examinations since 1945, of U.S. POW records and prisoner treatment has revealed very little human rights abuses, particularly concerning German & Japanese POW's. There is reason to suspect battle field revenge assaults and killings occurred on numerous occasions, but nothing to match what went on by the Axis Powers and Japan behind the lines.

A bit inaccurate. 98,000 German POW's from Stalingrad disappeared into Stalin's labour camps and Gulags, most of whom disappeared into history in ditches and unmarked mass graves, dying from cold, starvation, disease or bullets. German families are still trying to locate detail as to where they went. Most searches have ended fruitlessly.
