Cornel West arrested at 'Stop and Frisk' protest in New York

Dr. Cornel West, popular academic and author and Carl Dix, spokesperson of the Revolutionary Communist Party were arrested today among 31 other protesters, during the march at the Harlem State Office Building demanding an end to the "Stop and Frisk" policy. Police also unsuccessfully tried to arrest a journalist on assignment for Democracy Now. The NYPD's stop-and-frisk practices raise serious concerns over racial profiling, illegal stops and privacy rights.

Just yesterday, we were cooking out near wear we lived. It is because now nobody can't cook out anymore on the grounds. not even across the street from the grounds. Anyway, cops were questioning a guest of mine and even asked to smell what he had in his cup which was pepsi and asked for I.D. They were going to give him a summons for being at a cookout that me and my husband were giving. My husband and I got a summons each because my husband questioned their authority. Just yesterday.

No, it is not. I doubt that you have actually read any socialist works, but I could recommend some that would show you that you are wrong. Marxism is only one branch of socialism/communism. There are several others.

Every leader wishes to distribute wealth, some upwards and some downwards. You know what I mean right? It depends on who pays their bills. What I am against is the unfair accumulation of wealth.

The difference between what people consider "fair accumulation" is based upon competing views on property rights. It's nothing sinister, really.
